Designer Irena Levkovich by Critiquestyle
Eco-Fashion has come a long way in recent years with major designers recognizing an emerging market and demand for clothing that is both eco-friendly and stylish. Irena Levkovich understands this in a way that is art to your eyes and comfortable to wear; “My work combine two equally important concepts: on one hand clothes must look beautiful, feminine and elegant, and on the other they must be comfortable to wear and produced with eco-friendly technology:
She’s very passionate about her designs and even more passionate about selecting the fabrics and materials that she uses. Irena’s designs are hand-made unique pieces that she enjoys a special connection with, spinning much of the wool and silk and weaving it into fabric she uses in her creations. I had the distinct opportunity to work with her at the 4th Annual BKE Winter Fashion Show “WoolWonders” in Washington DC where she displayed her latest collection. This event, hosted by Moh Ducis of BKE was the 4th of it’s kind. Held at the Church of the Holy City, one of the 10 most beautiful Churches in the District of Columbia with it’s architectural notoriety as a centerpiece of the community and it’s stained glass windows, it was a perfect backdrop for the designs that mirrored vintage and classic appeal, yet current day style.
